Describe your blog…

Lipstick and Afros is an expression of my love for makeup and all things beauty. It’s really my little space of this huge world where I get to share what I love, connect with like minds and just selfishly indulge in something that I am truly passionate about.

What do you want your readers to get from it?

I want my readers to first of all feel like my blog is a safe space to learn about beauty generally, learn about your own beauty, and secondly just a place to discover how to enhance your beauty in a healthy, fun and judgment-free way.

What beauty trend are you obsessed with right now?

I’m not one to follow trends, I prefer to just go with what I feel looks good and works for me, and at the moment that is fresh glowing skin, nude lips, bold lashes and slightly unruly brows.

Mood for the rest of the year?

#Groundwork … basically putting in all the work and laying the foundations for the next year of my life to be even better than this one.

What life advice do you live by?

When faced with failure or some or other form of adversity, always remember that you probably aren’t the first person to be faced with a certain challenge and you definitely won’t be the last… if others can persevere then why not YOU!
