Can we all agree that no one is doing it like Falleria?

Here is someone whose taste and sense of style aren’t dictated by what’s trending but by something deeply seated in a love for playing around, finding what feels right, and never straying away from trying different things.

Nguundja Kandjii is many things: an actress, filmmaker, and content creator, but in this article, we’re going to talk about her unique style, keen eye for timeless pieces, and her ability to bring old styles back in the best ways.

A Sense of Style That Feels Like Home

When you land on her page, you’re met with a familiar look and feel that is refreshing in the content we consume nowadays. She curates outfits that take new influences and emulate wardrobe choices from the past, looks that feel like a love letter to old-school aesthetics in an effortlessly cool way. The kind of everyday style that many of our parents wore in their youth.

With one of her passions rooted in the film industry, it’s no surprise that her style carries a cinematic feel to itself. Fashion, much like film, is a form of storytelling, and she tells stories through her outfits just as intentionally as she does in her work. Making you want to stop scrolling and soak in the details every time. There is always a sense of identity behind each and every look that doesn’t feel surface-level.

Every piece is true to who she is and never strays away from that.

Beyond her original looks, another thing that has us obsessed with Falleria is her ‘Recreate The Look’ series, where she recreates looks and styles from some of her favourite influences in media and her personal life, another creative way she expresses herself. She takes inspiration from others, reinterpreting outfits into her unique fashion language and showing us that style, like anything good, is cyclical. It never really fades and finds a new way to be worn.

What makes her feel truly nostalgic is her appreciation for thrifted clothes and pieces. Alongside her younger sister, she runs Falleria and Ms Green’s Closet, where the two are dedicated to re-selling second-hand finds and thrifted treasures. This is how she shares her love for fashion with the world around her, reminding us that value can be found in pre-loved clothes and that fashion does not need to be bound by time.

Genuine value can be found outside the trends, and being sustainable in the way you dress and communicate yourself to the world can be just as fulfilling.

Sometimes, the best style moments are the ones we’ve already lived through, and Falleria has found a way to bring this idea to the forefront of her fashion expression.

One lesson we have learned from her is that the REAL joy is in how you choose to express yourself with what is accessible to you.
