We get it, most of our readers clad in all black, grays and dark colors and they are the type of people that solely depend on that black pants paired with that black/gray T-shirt. We have five (5) tips for you that you can apply to your wardrobe to not only add a little style to get you through gradually moving away from adding more dark colors to your wardrobe and wearing less of them of course.

Read all about it here.

So let’s get straight into it.

  1. Completely stay away from wearing your blacks.
  2. If completely staying away is too much of a commitment, then start adding colorful accessories to your looks e.g colorful scarves, bold belts caps/hats etc. Trick here is to not go overboard with bold colors which makes you look like a Christmas tress but make sure there is some element of color and interesting texture in each outfit.
  3. Make sure you have appropriate footwear when playing around with color. Footwear designers are stretching their horizons and giving us life with bright feminine/masculine colors.
  4. It’s the rainy season and what better way to celebrate that with a clear rain coat. Not only is it transparent but whatever nice bright colors you have on underneath with lots of pockets or cute buttons it looks ridiculously fashion forward.
  5. Lastly make sure anything you put on feels comfortable. Never wear something which makes you uncomfortable. No matter how hot you look in it.

You never know if you’d actually enjoy wearing colors if you do not give it a try. Trust that there will be some gradual sliding back into your wardrobe of black and gray, so try snapping up a green/yellow/orange (whatever spring colors you can think of) vintage jumpsuit (only thing we could come up with at the moment) and you will be good to go.
