Hi guys. Compliments for 2017.

What an exciting time to be present and more engaging than now right? I do not want to be a Kylie Jenner and jinx 2017 for you but I will say this,

only you can make your year the best it can possible be.

I have come across so many things I need to change in my life if ever i wanted people to take me seriously. One of these many things i have discovered was my Instagram page. My page has had  the same number of followers for a good 3 months or so and realized that  I was not pulling in new followers at all.

As Monochromes creative director one would think it is impossible not to have a great following because of all the cool stuff we post on our official social pages right? Well, my Instagram account needs to get in line with sides of me that shows who I am and what interests me because it has been falling back, waaaaay back.

I decided to revamp my accounts and before going on this journey, I needed to establish a few ground rules and make sure  I stick to them.

  1. Create a schedule. know when to post what it is you want to post.
  2. Make sure you post relevant images that are in line with the message you want to put across. for instance, is it love, friendship, your business/brand.
  3. Have a consistent and specific style/way of posting. stick to a certain font, collage grid, color/filter.
  4. Last but not least, engage with your followers. Give comments where necessary, follow back, like your followers  pictures/stories too.

These ground rules have helped me to easily and effectively transition from old to new without losing my personality. This is a working progress and I am positive that if I stick to them, I will be having my ideal number of followers.

Have a look….

Awesome right? No?Maybe?

Wherever it is you may find yourself, whatever you surround yourself with, take a creative picture and what I mean by creative is, the angle, the direction, the scenery etc.

Always remember to have fun doing what you set yourself to do.

See ya’ll next time.

XOXO
