Hi guys. 🙂
How are you coping?
Why a good corporate identity pack is a good starting point for your business.
You know that time when it’s 11am on a Monday morning and your mind is screaming “we never should have left bed this morning?” You know that time, everything should be okay with you, the weather is finally warming up, you’ve been getting good feedback on your business, but then suddenly bam – you’re stuck in a rut.

Being an entrepreneur is rough. And boy is that the tame version of that daily truth.
The entrepreneurial journey is like the hunger games, but instead of being against other people, it’s you and your business trying to be better than you were yesterday. Every. Single. Day. And usually for the foreseeable future.
I realised very early in my working career that I didn’t like working for someone. I hated waking up in the morning just to rush and go make someone else’s pockets fuller. Usually someone who didn’t care if I was having a good time or not.
When I decided to quite my job and move back to Johannesburg, I didn’t know what I was going to do apart from going back to varsity. I didn’t have a plan whatsoever, all I knew was I was suffocating and my soul yearning to be away from it all.

Last week, I was at a pitching competition hosted by DOLOLO supported by the Southern Africa Innovation Support Programme and National Commission on Science Research and Technology. I got there just before the program was about to commence so I was late to see the party begin but not too late to grab some snacks and say hi to a few familiar faces. One thing I already had figured out is that this was an ideal place for one to network with the fellow start up community, exchange contact details and establish relationships that could evolve into collaborations or partnerships. However, I soon realized that with most networking events people always tend to gravitate to who they are already familiar with.
As a small business owner you will quickly come across clients you wish you never met.
It’s either they waste your time, exploit you or are a lot of work when it’s time to pay up.
