Just like I’ve always known what I wanted to be in life, I’ve also always known I wouldn’t want to be anything other than a Black Woman. Even when we are at the bottom of society’s list, I’m proud to be a strong black woman.
My favourite thing about being a woman is how soft we can be without that taking away from our incredible strength. We put this issue together so that we can celebrate that, our journeys, our struggles, our accomplishments, our womanhood and most importantly our sisterhood.
We put this issue together to talk about how what we are fighting is really a fight for all of us. Feminism is not here to divide and make the inferior superior. We are merely fighting for equal rights. For every single person walking on this earth.

For my editorial this month I celebrate a friend’s new collection titled, wait for it, “I am a Woman”. How fitting right?
Kim and I had fashion studies together at UNAM, she has always been so passionate about fashion that when I saw her launch this collection, I said to myself; It’s about time!
Kim Matheus has recently put out a lingerie line under her Couture by Kim brand. It’s a sensual, pro-body short lingerie line that caters to every woman. She custom makes it to your size so it fits they way you want it to.
The sets come in silky and lacy fabric. Colours range from black, white, red and maroon. The texture feels great on your skin leaving you feeling like the sexiest woman alive (because you are).
I went for the maroon set but I definitely need one in every colour.
