A protective style that’s convenient and somewhat easy to master (not quite) is the head wrap. Lucky for you there are tutorials all over YouTube that can help you master a few head wrap tricks. We spoke to TuuIiki Shooya , who showed us how she rocks the her head wraps.

I don’t think there’s really a great way to explain how I did the ties/wraps but growing up in a Oshiwambo culture I learned to wrap my hair from my mom and aunts, but definitely I can say YouTube taught me a lot too.
Being an international student and mingling with other students helped me learn a few things about hair wraps from other students and I can proudly say I got my inspiration from different cultures world wide, and that’s what life is about actually, learning from other people.
Hair wrapping is best when it comes to winter (protective style) and especially when you’re in a hurry or have a bad hair day. I wear mine like I wear my crown.  👑
