Our favourite Public Relations Officer and TV personality, Robyn Ruby Nakaambo gives us a scope on how she maintains a toned stomach.

Robyn Nakaambo has been at this fitness game for as long as we can remember and her constant short video uploads on her Instagram account has had us running for our money.  Her body is what most would call body goals and her consistency at staying fit and healthy has had many inspired  and motivated to keeping in shape

Here’s what Robyn had to say on how she keeps a toned stomach:

My fitness journey started a while back but my results started showing off recently. I started working out to feel better about myself from within as I believe that it creates a glow that always translates out from within and that’s what I was chasing, the endless healthy glow. I wanted a firmer body not necessarily smaller as I love my curves just more toned and I was willing to put in the work. I’m still a work in progress though. I took a decision to give up on my favourite snacks through the week and gave myself a day “cheat day” to over indulge on anything unhealthy.

My day is pretty much scheduled and I love it but I always manage to stick to my routines. I always start my day with 2/3 jugs with the following items; lemon & ginger water, green tea and ginger tea. Please understand me when I say I drink NO tummy flattening teas nor products, all my results are a result of working out, watching what I eat and drinking the above mentioned.

I love cooking and I’m a self-proclaimed chef *giggles* I enjoy my time in the kitchen because I love playing around with fancier and healthier ways to prepare my veggies to encourage myself to indulge in them as I don’t eat carbs during the week.

Lunch time I always try to have a lunchbox at the office with left overs from the previous evening as it ensures I stick to my diet. Like clockwork, after work I dash out either to the stadium or to the gym to get in my daily sweat session. Plenty a times I meet people that say they don’t have time to exercise but I believe where there’s a will there’s a way, I have a full time job, run my own business and do extra activities yet I make time to attend to my sweat sessions.

My Cardio sessions at the stadium are more relaxed with 5 laps jogging around the track, double taking the stairs around the stadium and sets of stair sprints, froggies and lunges.

My Gym sessions on the other hand are more intense starting of every session with a 20 minute treadmill jog, lifting weights and doing various sets of exercises that help tone the belly area.

Try:

Squats, Lunges, Running, Crunches, Scissors, Cycling, Leg lifts, Cardio & Weights.

Please note that results will not show overnight nor will your progress be as the next individuals but if you stay true to your journey, put in the work and eat right with time results are all you’ll be showing off.
