When did you know a career in beauty was for you?

I’ve always been passionate about beaut, makeup to be precise. When people started being satisfied with my work and how unique I my work came out, that’s when it struck me that maybe i could start to capitalize off of what I love doing.

What fascinates you about being a makeup artist?

I absolutely look forward to reactions of my clients faces when done. This fills my heart with so much joy and I try to capture it on video. *giggles

You’ve done such beautiful work on so many well-known people in Namibia.  Who have you not worked on that you’d kill to get into your chair?

Awwwe, why thank you. I’d  love to work on our first lady. I personally think she is stunning and I cannot wait to enhance some of her beautiful features on her face.

What has been the biggest challenge for your career?

Coming up with a business structure and being proffesional  (I laugh way too much)
Being told to do exactly what another makeup artist did.

What do you think are some keys to becoming a successful make-Up artist in the Fashion industry?

Be creative so you cater for different needs. Be original, it’s your uniqueness  that  sets you apart.

Working with Fashion designers and photographers in the fashion industry, what can you provide to help for their work to stand out?

I always advice them to rather stop if the face and the neck’s shades don’t match. It’s better edited by a makeup artist  if possible  than to extra  edit the actual picture to give it a more natural look. I sometimes help put the model in the vibe they need to be so we get a voice from our shoot and make the images look more real.

How do you choose your makeup products and brands?

First of all, getting original products and brands is very important. I choose what’s best in my opinion per shade. I consider my clients to be very valuable to me.

How would you describe your signature look and what is it about your style that sets you apart from other make-Up artist?

My signature  look is the well blended,  no foundation  look, it looks like one just has good skin. My earth and minimal eye shadow  and my no blush and  nude lip-gloss. I really don’t do makeup to prove a point, I  always try my best to do what the client wants neatly. I listen  and discuss  with my clients so we both  win. I still feel my foundation application is the strongest in all other things and people notice.

What is/are your favorite Fall/Winter 2018 beauty trend/s right now.

Mixing foundation with serum or essential  oils.

What three makeup items should no woman leave home without?

1. Lipstick
2. Lip liner
3. Powder

What is in your personal bag right now?

My cash wallet, Planner, Pressed Powder, a Lippie& Lip liner, Charger, Hand Sanitizer  and Hand cream

What are common mistakes you see women make on their make-up?

Using shades too light to conceal eyebrows  and  ombre lips looks that are not well blended out.

You are a wife and a mom. How do you incorporate that aspect into your work life?

God knows I’m trying.

It is not easy but at the end of the day I still manage to balance it out, sometimes it means being with my family on set but what is important  is that, we make time for each other even if it is between brushes and powders puffs. 😂😂😂
