The drama filled Namibian series has made Zambezi Magic it’s home.

Wednesday, 11 July 2018 — MultiChoice Namibia launched The Third Will season 3 at a jam packed premiere held at Ster-Kinekor – Grove Mall. The show will air on Zambezi Magic (DStv Channel 160) on Wednesdays, at 21h30. This marks the 3rd consecutive year that The 3rd Will is showcased on the Zambezi Magic platform.  “I’m proud of the hard work my team alongside our colleagues at Zambezi Magic have done to ensure that viewers across SADC will have the opportunity to experience Season 3 of The 3rd Will”, expressed an ecstatic Roger Gertze, MultiChoice Namibia’s General Manager.

Event goers were treated to a short but drama full screening of episode 1, all the emotions from the viewer’s put reassuring smiles on the 3rd Will’s cast members. “Hard work truly does pay off, we have been working day in and day out to make this a reality, and we are now on season 3, who would have thought it possible, we did it” remarked Roman Uutoni.

Season 3 of The 3rd Will promises to be more entertaining than the previous seasons. Viewers are in for a treat as Michael continues in his rendezvous wild ways and Annalie is back with a vengeance as she wreaks havoc at every turn. The talent showcased in the 3rd Will gives hope that Namibia is ready to compete against the rest of Africa.

“I will be well suited for the season 10 premiere”, joked Mr. Gertze, “ We at MultiChoice Namibia are in absolute awe at the leaps and bound our local film industry taken over these past years. We appreciate that the demand for local content reaches far and wide and are proud to say that this is high on the MultiChoice Namibia agenda.”

“If we take a look at the creative economy, which includes audiovisual products, design, new media, performing arts, publishing and visual arts– is not only one of the most rapidly growing sectors of the world economy, it is also a highly transformative one in terms of income generation, job creation and export earnings. Not too long ago, Irina Bokova, Director-General of UNESCO stated that, “While creating jobs, creative economy contributes to the overall well-being of communities, individual self-esteem and quality of life, thus achieving inclusive and sustainable development. At a time when the world is shaping a new post-2015 global development agenda, we must recognize the importance and power of the cultural and creative sectors as engines of that development” remarked Mr. Mbeuta Ua-Ndjarakana, Permanent Secretary – Ministry of Information and Communication Technology.

The Third Will Executive Producer, Frans Kruger was still overwhelmed by all the support as he praised the work ethic of the cast and continuous support from MultiChoice Namibia. He however raised an important concern that affects the entire local film community, funding, funding, funding, “We are in dire need of funding, we have stories to tell and the platform to showcase, assist us in making out stories a reality,” as he pleaded with corporate Namibia and government.
