It’s mid-month and the budgets are getting tighter. Here are a couple of ideas for you to unwind this weekend, without straining your pockets.
1.SkinCare
It’s important to be gentle and attentive to your skin. Make sure to take your time as you cleanse and moisturize, so that the cold weather does not leave it feeling dehydrated and exposed. Face masks with hyaluronic acid are good for maintaining skin hydration & hyaluronic acid is typically safe for all skin types. I also recommend a nice, warm bubble bath to ease off some tension in your muscles.
2.Hair Care
Hair care is crucial to prevent it from losing moisture and shine. So if you were planning on deep conditioning your hair, now is the perfect time. Your hair is your crown, hence keeping it polished and healthy will have you feeling regal.
3.Exercise
When ending off a hectic week, your body may feel tense and worn out. You may want to lie in bed as a form of rest all weekend, however I suggest you go for a jog, run or hike. You can do all these activities at your own pace and as your serotonin (happy hormone) levels increase, you’ll thank yourself for putting on those running shoes.
4.Reading & Journaling
If you have an overactive mind that is restless and bombarded with thoughts, try shifting your focus to reading a book or writing your thoughts in one. Both actions help with slowing down in this fast paced society we live in.
5.Picnic
Picnics have become increasingly common and if you’re a lover of nature, this might be the perfect way for you to unwind and reset. All you need is a large sheet, some snacks, music and good company.
