nandjaya.com is a beauty, fashion and lifestyle blog curated by the beautiful Fenni Iipumbu whose middle name is actually Nandjaya.  If you have seen her blog, you’d understand why we had to ask her for a few fashion tips.

We’ve been style stalking her for quite some time now that we’ve added her to our favourite fashion girls list. It’s cold outside and oversized jackets are a must now so we asked Fenni to style a few looks  for us. That way we know how we SHOULD be stepping out this winter.

Born in France and  currently studying in the UK to become a civil engineer, Fenni is a lover of fashion (OBVS), food, writing, music, dance, travel and construction.

I love watching a building go up.

See the looks she put together for us:

1. Simple but effective.

This is one of those early winter looks where you can still get away with showing some skin without catching pneumonia, don’t quote me on that. Neon shades to block out the bad vibes. Classic white button down ’cause you have to stay about your business no matter where you are. A beige lace up corset which low key cut off my circulation (totally worth it). Thigh-high boots that double as pants cause sometimes pants are annoying, I know you feel me on this. And of course the main piece, the oversized black puffer jacket which I pretty much always where 3/4’s down my arms because…SWAG.

2.  Athleisure

Bummy days Athleisure is one of my fav trends at the moment. There’s nothing better than a comfortable slay. I paired an oversized beige sweatsuit with Yeezy season 4 inspired beige ankle boots. Heels make even the simplest outfit chic so when in doubt throw them on. Think mom waking you up from a nap to go buy bread and you being as extra as possible while doing so. Odd combination but those are the best.

It’s all about balance and contrast.

3. Issa Snack

I rarely ever wear dresses but this black wrap around number is doing the things that must to be done. Paired with strappy black heels and the oversized puffer, it’s like a map that dips in and out at all the right places. Serving subtle décolletage and a whole lot of leg. Sexy beats the weather guys, just run fast from the car to the venue, you’ll be fine.

4. Do it in Denim

Few things are as classic and versatile as denim, a well done red lip being one of them. Here I’m wearing a pair of skinny jeans with knee cut outs, my dads levi jacket (obsessed with this piece), blue old skool vans and a cute little doek (headscarf if you’re fancy). A fun casual way to style the oversized puffer jacket, perfect for those chill days.

I’ve always been somewhat of a loud, bubbly, positive person, someone that does “the most” if you will. I’m all the way here for self expression in different forms and think it’s really important that the youth support each other. There’s enough room for all of us to eat.

She killed it right?!!
