We fell in love with this gorgeous lady every time we saw her, even if it was just for 1 minute. (Honestly, ThisE needs to make their videos longer. LOL)

Yes! El-Shaddai Aluteni guys!

We finally pulled ourselves together and asked her to let us in on her craft and aspirations.

Anyway, did you know she’s co-creator of your favourite online entertainment channel? No? Yeah, so read on!

Talk to us about your aspirations in life?

I’m an aspiring media powerhouse.

This E… How did that come about? What’s your involvement?

Being a host of an entertainment show has always been a dream of mine. I shared this dream with my friends and with their creative input we turned the dream into a show and we’ve been running with it ever since.
I am Co-creator, producer and presenter at the best online entertainment show in the country!

What’s your favourite part about your job?

Apart from schmoozing with celebs I love the fact that this is a self-made platform. I love that I get to explore my creative side.

Do you have other career aspirations?

I would love to get back onto the airwaves.

What’s your take on Namibia’s entertainment industry right now?

The Namibian entertainment industry has grown so much. You can see it in the explosion of shows, print and content. Every single day there is something happening and the city is really buzzing and if you listen closely enough you can hear that buzz across the country.

What do you appreciate?

I love that our industry is so rich in opportunity. Anyone can become a trailblazer with the right idea, team, plan and execution. I love the fact that our artists and journalists can express themselves and are able to earn a living through their work.

  What would you take away?

I would get rid of our reluctance to collaborate with one another. The industry is very small and the only we can build is together.

Talk to us about your plans for the future of ThisE…

This Entertainment has just started there are many, many plans in the works and y’all will just have to stay tuned!

El-Shaddai the host:

Talk to us about hosting at the NAMAs… How was that like?

Hosting the NAMAs Industry Night was terrifying, overwhelming, exciting and fun but above all a great honour.
I’ve never been so creatively stimulated in my life! I got to see that people in this industry work so damn hard day in and day out. They don’t just roll out of bed and get onto the stage. I had the great opportunity of working with the best presenters on the continent. Not to forget the incredible production crew that made sure that everything came together perfectly. Personally this year’s NAMAs was by far the best one.

Whose craft do you admire most in the presenting industry? Local & International?

There are so many people I admire hey, so here goes! I would say that it all started with Oprah Winfrey she made hosting a show look like an honorable career path. Ilke Platt-Akwenye (Cutie) showed me that people in Namibia could hold it down on TV and Radio too! I love, love, love Mercedez Von Cloete’s style of presenting she is truly the hostess with the mostess! Mathew Mappz Kapofi is so diverse an entertainer through and through. Uejaa Kazendunge has a golden voice. She is elegant and poised at all times! Paul Munanjala is the hardest working man in the industry hands down! I don’t know anyone who’s on a grind like his and makes it look so easy

Lastly my forever presenter, she who reins supreme, Bonang Matheba! Anyone who knows me knows I love all things Bonang she is just evah-ry thang!!!

What’s your goal hosting gig? It could be whatever, wherever.

E News y’all! In LA! Let’s not play.

If you could interview anyone right now, who would it be?

It would have to be Stromae. I’ve always been fascinated by him. He’s creativity is on another level.

 Pick a co-host… (anyone)

Yoh!!! This is a tough one! It would have to be Queen B!

Pick a show you’d like to host one day…

E News!

El- Shaddai and fashion:

 Please describe your style…

My style depends on my mood and the occasion but it’s basically classy and simple.

Do you have a stylist for when you are working?

LOL! No I have not reached those leyvels yet!

 Your favourite local clothing brand?

I spend half my time on that corporate grind and I loves me some My Republik! I love La Mode Fashions by Leah Misika it really speaks to my personal style. I am so glad I had the opportunity to wear amazing garments by Nicoleen and Ruberto Scholtz! They are definitely two of my favs. COAL by Easter Manasse and Ndapcee are pretty cool and fashion forward Namibian brands!

Whose closet would you raid?

Leah Misika!!! She slays every single day!

Plans?

To solidify my name in the Namibian Entertainment industry and build on that foundation.

Where do you see your brand in the next 3 years?

I see it going continental.

Where do you see This E in the next 5 years?

I see This Entertainment going global.

What else would you venture into, if you could?

Run a media house with the focus on creating entertainment content.

Best advice you’ve ever received and would like to pass on?

My grandmother always tells me “you need to believe in yourself my dear. How do you expect other people to believe in you?” Confidence and self-belief is key! Major key!
