It’s the last month of the year and even if you don’t own a calendar, I’m pretty sure that you can feel the buzz in the air. The energy all over the world has been amplified by excitement and joy as everybody indulges in the festivities as we set our gears to celebrate days like Family Day, Christmas Day and New Years Eve. It’s the end of the year where bliss and pure joy seem to override every other emotion and I’m here for it!

But what is it about celebrating that seems to accelerate our wellness with such vigor and gumption? Celebrating implies gratitude and appreciation. Whether your’e celebrating the birth of Christ, quality time with your loved ones or the prospect of new beginning and appreciation for things accomplished throughout the year; it’s bound to leave you feeling all giddy inside. The attitude of gratitude highlights the things that matter to us and allows us to be expressive of our appreciation for all our year-long blessings.
This time of year can also be tough on those who have experienced loss or who don’t have much in terms of loved ones or even basic material goods necessary for survival. So if you can, lend a helping hand where you can – it will only boost your well-being even more, as only acts of kindness and philanthropy can.
Celebrating, resting and relaxing brings us a deep sense of joy because after 12 months of hard work and dream chasing, we’ve earned it and truly deserve it.
