Modelling since the age of 17, the gorgeous 21 year old  is a 2nd year student at the UNAM School of Medicine and says school is her main priority right now.

Her name is Woudré and she’s our Model of the Moment. Find out a little more about her in this short interview:

The week that was Windhoek Fashion Week

2016 was a big  year for the Namibian fashion industry and we are so glad we could be a part of it.

The biggest, most anticipated fashion event of the year was our very first fashion week. We had international designers, models, social media influencers come to Namibia and witness our talent and potential. We had BET and international photographers capture every moment. We saw our local designers bask in the glory of the success to come.  We couldn’t be more excited for our fashion industry. The only way from here is UP indeed.

Two ways you can keep warm while suited up

Wanting to stay stylish in this blistering cold is a very hard task. Not only for ladies but for guys too. So how do guys keep warm and stay dapper? MONO Investigates.

We have so much to say about Pandus’ suit up days and now that we experience cold days, Monochrome finds out how he keeps warm even when it’s cold as balls outside.

He took time out to tell us a few of his tricks that work for him.

Two ways that work:

Look 1:

Throw a cashmere sweater on underneath your jacket. Not only does it look stylish and keeps you warm but when it too warm all you need to do is take the jacket off and you’ll still be winter proof.

Also adding a funnel neck/Polo neck could work for you.

Look 2:

Adding a scarf to your look not only keeps you warm but it’s brings so much personality and character to your suit.

Bloggers & Vloggers we love

We are celebrating social media this week and what other way to celebrate it if not by acknowledging our favourite Namibian bloggers/Vloggers. These certain individuals made it their personal mission to pour out their inner most delicate thoughts so if you’re an aspiring blogger or just looking for some inspiration here are our favourite bloggers/Vloggers.

The Art of Cool: Chuck Mbevo

Chuck Mbevo schooled and lived in Namibia but is now fast becoming a favourite within the Angolan fashion industry. He aspires to become Africa’s Top Fashion Stylist but we are mostly here for his impressive, head-turning and fascinating fashion sense. As well as to ponder on how he mastered the art of cool.

See four reasons why we are crushing on Chuck this week.

The Art of Cool: Masi Mbewe aka SunsetPunk

Her IG feed is filled with mostly rich monochromatic images. Rich in black, grey and white. Rich in Art. Rich in Melanin. Rich in Culture. Let’s talk about The Art of Cool that is Masi Mbewe.

Who is Sunset Punk?

SunsetPunk kinda just happened. I was in my dorm room when I was 19 and those two words popped up in my head and I ran with it! I guess at the time I was still trying to find my way, I’d just moved to Namibia from Botswana and I was in many ways finding myself. Maybe SunsetPunk is my spirit animal? Or maybe I’m just SunsetPunk. Hard to explain. I don’t think there’s a line between Masi and SunsetPunk.

I’m 24, will be 25 in January. I’m a copywriter/student/photographer/afrofuturist writer, I want to add model to the list but models get paid and I don’t! Also I make YouTube videos, not as often as I should but I love that part of me. I find it such a great outlet, I can just turn a camera on and speak about anything, that makes me really proud.

What he wants you to know about sex

For MonoMen we decided to head on out and find out what exactly our men think about sex or at least what they would like us to know.

Men and women have different opinions on sex. According to CNN’s Louanne Brezendine, “Men have a sexual pursuit area that is 2.5 times larger than the one in the female brain.”

Egon Schiele (1890-1918) , 1917, The embrace. on ArtStack

“Sex is as complicated as the rest of life experiences. It’s not rocket science but the act of it get people who are involved just as unpredictable and complex.

So we took the liberty and asked a few guys what they thought.

Well, here goes SOMETHING ladies. Tuck in and listen up. Or not.

3 Things women should know about sex:

  • If you’re gonna do it, do it right, guys and girls in my experience (which is none) the pleasure  is in making your person enjoy it too, don’t be one sided, so I’m told , I wouldn’t know. haha Jokes.
  • Communication is key, find the likes and dislikes ,e.g. women need to understand that our nipples exist for no reason, biggest mystery since the appendix, playing with them does NOTHING, but then again there might be a dude in China who can’t wait to get his nipples rubbed tonight, but you would never know if there was no communication, hope you see the point.
  • Don’t do it

5 Things guys don’t really care about in bed

  • by Naffy2. Gymnastics. I personally am not into a woman that moves around too much in bed.4. Role playing. It’s awkward. Guys dont care about having to play kinky roles etc Any thoughts? Let us know.
  • 5. Guys generally don’t care about a proper place to shag either. We don’t care about “romantic spots” to have sex. In fact the more weird the place the kinkier for us.
  • 3. Talking. She doesn’t have to say much. If she’s moaning its fine enough.
  • 1.  Toys. I don’t care about using toys. Neither do most guys.

Any thoughts? Let us know.
