The Namibian fashion industry continues to rise, making room for more creatives to break their shells and create magic. Monochrome has been on the look out for what is new and fresh.
MODEL UPDATE: Trisha Amakutsi
Our favourite thing to do is to check in and see what our favourite models are busy with when they are not on a runway or in front of a camera.
We caught up with the gorgeous Trisha Amakutsi
The Art of Cool: Kevin Perestrelo
“Aesthetics” was 2017’s favourite word, if you don’t know what that means, simply go over to Kevin Perestrelo’s Instagram and you will.
He definitely is an artthrob whether behind or in front of the camera, with a paintbrush or a simple pen. Kevin is the epitome of cool. He has that art down to a T!
The Principle of Rhythm – Paulina Mbango
December is always a very spiritual time for me. It’s a time I strongly feel the presence of the Divine. A time to reflect on what was and what is to become. It’s a time of endings and goodbyes. A time to take one last look back before embracing the full force and vitality of the New Year.
Ed’s note: December
2017 was definitely better than 2016. Less catastrophic with even more lessons.

I managed to tick a whole lot off my 2017 resolutions. Leaving a few that I’m pushing over to 2018 like exercising more, reading more and all those things we should be doing more of but we don’t.
How did you do this year?
2017 was also a major lesson for us here at Monochrome. Actual lessons that we’ve now photographically captured in our notes and brains. We can’t wait to practice these “lessons” and newer ideas in 2018.
With 2018 just 3 weeks away, we’d like to thank you our readers for the support these past 2 years. Thank you for being a part of the journey since the start. We are growing because of you. Thus we are working even harder to bring you even better content next year.
I could go on and on about what we’ll be enforcing next year but where’s the fun in that? Amiiright??
This week we’ll be featuring last entries from our contributors, just so they send us off right.
This is my last entry for the year. Till January. Yay!

Wishing you and yours a happy festive season.
Till 2018,
Love,

The New and Selfless Luis Munana
Monochrome recently had a chat with Luis Munana to catch up on what he has been up to lately and because this feature has been a long awaited one *sigh. Luis fills us in on his current projects and what inspires him to be more selfless now more than ever.
Ed’s note: November
Would you look at that!? JUST 60 days left of 2017.
Thinking of it just gives me major anxiety. Woo.
My Mono Look Book: Day 5
FRIYAY ! The first word that comes to mind as I browse through filters to go with the picture I’m about to upload on Snapchat and see my Bitmoji celebrating reaching the Weeks finish line . Mama I made it ! It has been a good week after all, I mean I’m still alive aren’t I ? That’s a good enough reason to be happy .
My Mono Look Book: Day 4
If there’s anything I’ve taught myself really well its to dress according to the mood I want to set for the day. That way I’m never in a bad mood because you would never catch me in a bad outfit, trust me.
ED’s Note: October
We are only about a month away from Windhoek Fashion Week and we are so excited. Mainly because this year Monochrome will be a part of the proceedings.
Are you ready? Yeah, neither am I.
