Career or hobby?
At the moment while I am student (at NUST), it’s just a hobby/ a part-time job, but I plan to have it as a career one day.
Walk us through what happens during your sets?
Basically, the client and I meet up for a consultation- concepts and dates are set. We meet on date set and pictures are taken. Depending on the concept, the client changes outfits a number of times or we move to a different location.
Which was your favourite shoot ever?
I am stuck between two, one was the shoot I did with Maria Nepembe for her Ria clothing line. Not because she is a celebrity but because everything was professionally done and it was a fashion shoot, which I really love and enjoy. Also the pictures came out extremely amazing.
& the other was a fashion photo shoot I did with Mckisha Farmer. I absolutely love fashion shoots.

What’s the worst type of model/client to work with?
Your favourite scene/set for a shoot?
Who and/or what would you like to capture one day?
I would love to work with Rihanna or Amanda Du-Pont, their both really stunning. I love their style, they seem fun & are amazing in front of the camera. It would be really nice to work them.
What are you looking forward to this year?
I am looking forward to new opportunities. I’d like to work with people from outside Namibia, or land a really big contract. Do something quite bigger than what I’m used to.
Top 3 favourite images ever?
My top 3 favourite images would be one from the shoot with Dillish Mathews, one of Trey Songz & a picture of my brother touching a dog’s tooth.
Your favourite Namibian and international photographer?
I only have one favourite photographer, and that has always been Victoria Ashipala. Also, she is Namibian.
Give us 3 tips to taking a perfect selfie?
Yaay selfie time,
- Firstly use a quality phone/camera.
- Take it in front of a window / door where the light is coming through.
- Always hold your camera a little bit above your head. Tilt your head a bit & capture. Never take a picture from below.
Which for you are the worst selfies?
The low quality selfies, the night time selfies & definitely the selfies that are just showcasing the persons cleavage/boobs. I don’t like those.
How do you feel about that pose girls do with their one foot’s heel up?
I DON’T LIKE IT ! LOL
I personally dislike that. It doesn’t look nice, it gives a lady a weird posture. I really don’t see what the obsession with that pose is.
A single photoshoot is N$ 450, & couple photoshoot is N$ 550.
