It’s a Monday morning you are standing in front of your closet, you just can’t quite pick an outfit for today, it’s a drag! You tell yourself you need more clothes, maybe more shoes you are indecisive. Come laundry day, you are presented with a washing basket full of clothes you could have sworn you do not know where all these clothes came from. This cycle repeats itself.

Women particularly are known for saying these four words “I need more clothes” on a regular basis, it’s like a song to most of us women; one can never have enough clothes!

Closet Purge is probably one of the bravest steps any lady has to take. Closest purging is basically removing clothing that you don’t wear any more, you know that shirt you have in your closet that you bought in 2016 but can’t quite seem to get rid of, because you believe that it has found a permanent place in your closet  so sentimental to you, it has become part of the furniture.

There are various reasons as to why women decide to take this step, it might be that you have fallen tired of your style and decided to do a revamp on your wardrobe, a new you that comes with a new closet.

Sometimes you have just gained or lost a little weight, now nothing is more frustrating than not fitting in your favorite jeans, so you hold on to them with the possible thought of that” I will fit in them again”. That was in 2012 and we are in 2018, now I don’t know how those neon green skinny jeans will make a comeback.

Purging is a discipline, and for someone who holds on to things and attach value to them it might be particularly hard, but here is a tip whenever you buy something new try getting rid of the oldest one.

Whatever reason it is that you might have, closet purging has always deemed to be a relieving activity as you teach yourself the importance of letting go of things that do not hold sentimental meanings to your life anymore. Today its jeans, tomorrow it might just be that relationship that are your holding on to that you know very well is dead!
