Hi guys! Welcome to our brand new website. New Year, New tings right?!

Having blogged with WordPress for over a year, we are proud to finally make monochromemagazine.net a real thing.

2016 was an amazing year for us. Our brand was finally recognized and acknowledged in the industry and we’ve been doing so well since. We are glad to know there are so many of you out there who share our vision and mission. More so that we are all working towards the same goal; which is helping Namibian talent reach world stage.

There’s so much work to be done but the mere fact that we have started is a really good sign. Our fashion designers are pulling out stellar collections, our photographers are creating art with their images, and our models are fresh and breathtaking. We are doing such amazing ground work that our next generation will have so much to fall on. Lucky for us all, Monochrome is here to document that. All of it.

It’s now safe to say that Monochrome is global. We have had hits from all over the world including the States and Russia. I really don’t know if it’s just the Namibians living there or actual citizens; but I really don’t care. We are global and that’s all that matters. Haha.

All that means for me is that everything we are putting out there is being watched and noticed. It’s really a big win for all of us.

I’d like to urge everyone contributing to our industry to keep going because we are doing great. It’s only up from here.

As for our new site, we tried to keep it minimal and cute as possible. We hope you love it. Please tell us what you think about it, we really appreciate all the feedback.

We moved some of the content over, others we did not because we felt they were a bit outdated and would rather we redid the interviews.

Alas, we also have new content for you. We spoke to a few people about the new beginnings they are most proud of, we also have a list of trends you should look out for this year. You can also check out who our model of the moment is. Spoiler: She is gorgeous.

There are so many things we’d like to do this year but can’t spill just yet. What we can talk about though, is THE GREAT POP UP! We are doing it twice this year, the first one being in April. If you did not make it to the previous one, you have time to get ready for this one. PS: Save UP!

Lastly, I’d like to thank Martin Amushendje for our beautiful images. He was able to help me transform form shy awkward me to a model even just for a second.

I tweeted this before;

2016 is the year we sowed so this year let us reap!

I’m wishing everyone a PRODUCTIVE 2017. But also a happy one.

Please enjoy our new site.

Yours,

Betty Sibeso.
