is college worth it persuasive essay.

We have seen how famous designers source inspiration from art, sport, music and most commonly location.  It is always a cool thing when your fit compliments the location or vice versa. What an Instagram post  that becomes.   We wanted to try it out too, so we worked on “Fashion meets Location”  with one of our favourite Instagrammers, Michelle- Georgina (Nguasena on IG)

See how  she pulled it off:

Michelle-Georgina, known to many as Nguasena is an 18 year old vibrant young lady with a colourful personality.  A lover of culture, music and photography and an admitted slave to procrastination (but working on it). Born in Namibia but raised in England.  She is a strong believer of women empowerment and freedom to express oneself.

See how she pulls off her location inspired looks.

1. Denim on Denim

Where: 12th floor of a parking lot (which we weren’t meant to be in) in the city centre.

What inspired the look: I had a photoshoot, so I wanted to wear something comfortable, and warm yet interchangeable with different colours and clothes (denim, duhh!). I recently got my nipples pierced so I low-key just wanted to show those babies off in my sheer blue top from UO and the red chocker to break the colours and add a little danger to the equation.

2.  Coca-Cola Cooling with Keith

Where: A side street just off Clumber Street, in Nottingham.

What inspired the look: Some old friends from high school and I decided to go on a picnic for the little time the sun would be out. My main focus was comfort, but I always like to show a bit of my personality with my clothes so the coca-cola print adds a cool twist to comfort ( and they’re pyjama pants – so super duper comfy btw). I also wore a black lace corset underneath, just ’cause.

3. Pro-vocative

Where: Outside a polish shop in the suburbs.

What inspired the look: It was a hot day so I was hoping to catch a tan and not be covered in sweat, so I stuck with light fabrics and open shoes. A friend suggested we go do yoga at the park but needless to say we just ended up laying in the sun drinking desperadoes on the grass (totally worth it).

4. Summer time sadness

Where: House Party at Benjie’s.

What inspired the look: I was really into matching bikini tops with clothes last summer, they’re groovy and you can make a chocker with the excess string. Many of my clothes are thrifted so when it comes to getting dressed I literally just mix and match, old with new, urban with chic, and even swimwear with non-swimwear. It’s about making the most of your wardrobe and having fun, get creative!

5. Faux the culture

Where: Victoria centre

What inspired the look: I wanted to feel glamorous. Fur coats make the simplest outfits stand out , and so does jewellery. My thing for this summer is definitely little purses, they add attitude to any outfit paired with hoops, and they’re super affordable in thrift/charity shops, your mum or sister might even already have one, you just have to look!

See what we mean? Michelle-Georgina is the epitome of coolness and we are here for it. All of it!
